Hello
friends, players and parents. The Riverside YMCA summer
basketball league is finally over. For their final game the Lakers started
off
slow trailing early but who can blame them? The 7 am start for our last
game
was tough.
Their opponents, the Kings, came to play for sure.
Had it not been for that
three-pointer that Ryan Lough sank and some excellent free throws from
Wardell,
the game would have been closer. Just like last weekend's game against
the Heat,
this one against the Kings was again a close one.
As a parent whose son participated for the first time
in an organized league
for the first time, I want to salute the officials and organizers for
how well the league was run.
On a personal note, I appreciate very much those of
you who came to
comfort Gabriel at the end when he fouled out of the game. I know he
only missed
about a minute of the game but that's the breaks. As a parent you want
to protect
your child from lots of disappointments and so on but it's the little
ones like these
that build character after all, isn't it?
Parents please note I have not identified any of the
players because I respect your right to privacy. However, if you would
rather I not use any pictures of either you or your child, please let
me know and I will remove them.
Thanks for visiting my website.
It's been a great pleasure having my son playing alongside
your child.
Thanks for all your support. Coach Craig
Faucher I really appreciate and applaud your dedication
and would like to personally thank you for being there for our kids.
