A Black History Month Celebration in honor of The Tuskegee
Airmen and Airwomen was held at University of California Riverside February 5, 2005. The Master of Ceremony Dr. Ruth M. Jackson, University Librarian welcomed the Tuskegee Airmen and Airwomen.

The keynote speaker for the evening was Trey Ellis, novelist and screen writer the HBO feature "The Tuskegee Airmen" which starred Laurence Fishburne and Cuba Gooding Jr.
